
Francois Tournesac, VP of Business Development for Carrier Ethernet Transport, joined Nokia Siemens Networks with the Atrica acquisition in January 2008. An expert in Carrier Ethernet, Francois Tournesac spent eight years developing the market with Atrica, where he founded the company in EMEA and created the Carrier Ethernet market as VP of Sales. Prior to this position, Mr. Tournesac was Atrica’s Business Development Director for Europe and Asia Pacific.
Mr. Tournesac also worked at 3Com in various positions, including Director of Enterprise Sales & Marketing in Asia Pacific. In this position, he was based in Singapore for five years, specifically focused on emerging markets. Mr. Tournesac also spent four years as a major account Network Consultant and as a Marketing Engineer for 3Com NCD in charge of the first ATM network implementation in Europe.
Prior to joining 3Com, Mr. Tournesac was Production Director at a manufacturer of automotive and heavy equipment for two years. He also worked as an ATM consultant, managing European projects for RACE (Research & development in Advance Communication Environment) with France Telecom for two years.
Mr. Tournesac holds a M.A. of Economy and Strategy in Telecommunications from Arts & Metiers, a M.S. in Telecommunications from Citcom, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from ESME Sudria in Paris.
