22nd September- The MEF 2009 Carrier Ethernet Service Provider of the Year Awards

Applications are now invited from leading service providers offering Carrier Ethernet services for the MEF’s prestigious Carrier Ethernet 2009 Service Provider of the Year Awards. These awards recognize excellence and leadership in the development, marketing and delivery of Carrier Ethernet Services and are awarded annually.

Winners will be announced at the awards dinner to be held in conjunction with Carrier Ethernet World Congress (Awards Dinner, Tuesday, September 22, 2009).

Awards Categories

• Best Service Innovation 
  This category will be awarded to the Service Provider, whom in the opinion of the judges, has introduced the most innovative new service over the past 12 months.
• Best Service Portfolio 
  This category will be awarded to the Service Provider, whom in the opinion of the judges, has provided the most extensive range of Ethernet products to the greatest possible number of customers within the markets you serve.
• Best Service Marketing 
  This category will be awarded to the Service Provider, whom in the opinion of the judges, has run the most successful marketing campaign to promote their Ethernet service portfolio.

Service Provider of the Year 
 
The Service Provider of the Year award will be awarded to the provider with the highest cumulative score for all the above categories along with an additional score for service coverage – see submission questions below. 

Submission Information

All Service Providers offering Ethernet services are invited to submit applications for the awards. Applications can be submitted for an individual or multiple award categories. The Service Provider of the Year award will be awarded to the provider with the highest cumulative score for ALL categories along with an additional score for service coverage.

Judging

Judging panels comprised of up to 5 global and regional analysts will be asked to rate each of the responses relating to each award category and scoring them between 1 and 10 where 1 = poor and 10 = excellent. The service provider with the highest combined score of all judges in each category will be judged to be the winner.

The Service Provider of the Year will be awarded to the provider with the highest cumulative score for ALL categories along with an additional score for service coverage.

Finalist and Winners

Three finalists and 1 winner in each category will be announced at the awards dinner.

Incentive Program

A range of marketing incentives will be offered, including but not limited to:

• Invitation to the awards dinner to all entrants.
• Press release announcing finalists and winners.
• Web link from the MEF site for all winners.
• Winner profiles on the MEF site.
• Video interview with winners for MEF TV site.
• Use of finalist and winner logos on company sites and collateral for 1 year.
• Inclusion of PPT case study for relevant MEF workshop and conference participation.
• Winners to receive attractive awards trophy and certificate, suitable for framing
• Finalists to receive finalist certificate, suitable for framing
